Course Description
This workshop assists clinicians to recognize the common signs and symptoms of Vicarious Trauma and Compassion Fatigue, and learn ways to cope.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants should be able to:

Define “compassion fatigue” (CF) and “vicarious trauma” (VT);

Identify signs and symptoms of CF and VT;

Implement coping skills to treat CF and VT; and,

Access resources that target CF and VT.
About the Presenter
Julie L. Williams, MSEd, LMHC is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in Florida. She has been licensed as a mental health counselor in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Florida. She has experience working in schools, community mental health, forensic settings, and private practice. Currently, she is the co-owner of Thrive Counseling & Consultation, LLC where she specializes in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related disorders for adolescents and adults. Her research interests include the assessment and treatment for perpetrators of sex trafficking.
